Margery MooreEnvironmental Strategic Alliance Manager, BNA Inc.
Margery Moore is Dir. Of Environmental Strategic Alliances for Bloomberg-BNA, a publishing and media company located in Washington, DC and New York. Margery works with a global network of organizations to develop environmental and sustainability software systems that help many different types of corporations meet their compliance, and beyond compliance, requirements. She is currently digging deep into the older, well established compliance mindsets to identify key points where emerging issues around sustainability and climate change should be considered.
She speaks at many N. America conferences on this topic and writes a column for BNA Inc., 'EHS Software Report'. In addition, she participates in a weekly radio program, GreenSense Radio, out of Chicago that reports on the top BNA stories of the week. In early 2012 she will be producing a feature
length film, 'Wakan Tanka' (www.wakantankafilm.com) which is a hybrid documentary/music video linking Youth and Elders on climate change. Margery serves on many advisory boards, including; National Association of Environmental Managers (NAEM), Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA), and the Association for Climate Change Officers (ACCO). In her spare time she runs a Canadian charitable organization, The Institute for Sustainability Education & Action and the Stonehouse Standing Circle, both
on Salt Spring Island, BC. She has a Masters in Environmental Management Information Systems, from University of Victoria, B.C. and lives part-time in DC, and in BC.
